Rev. Dr. William Franklin Graham Jr.

Yesterday was the Rev. Dr. William Franklin Graham Jr.'s Birthday. We celebrated his 88th birthday with our office singing him happy birthday and watching a short selection from a documentary about his life. We then had cake and I was happy. But, you may ask, why is he the subject of my blog, and why is he one of my favorite things. Billy Graham is one of my favorite things due to the fact that his association provided me with a job until previously when I switched jobs, and I now work for his son William Franklin Graham III, Franklin to most. Billy provided me with a place to work that has allowed me to feel good about myself when I head on my way home. I feel like I have accomplished good in the world, and that in some small way I have made a difference. Aside from the work environment being so sweet, I have also been enjoying reading and learning about Billy's life. His simple, yet powerful, life is inspiring to all as we try to make our way in this world. I have been attempting to create a simpler version of my life. Eliminating things that take up too much time, and also enjoying the simple pleasures, like making chili. Billy's life is an inspiration too all. So thus Billy is one of my favorite things.
