Casual Fridays

Today marked the day of my first ever casual Friday. I started my new Job at Billy Graham last Monday, and it has been a great experience so far. Today I went to work knowing that perhaps there was a friday ritual of wearing jeans, or perhaps that the Friday ritual was something a little less extreme. I may have even been afraid that I would not be able to take part in the jean ritual, so I even brought a pair of kakhis along with me in case I was mistaken and needed to wear something a dressier. It turns out that I was not mistaken, and I was able to wear the comfort of the jeans. I then spent the rest of the day creating packages for mailout for Operation Christmas Child, and drinking Coffee. I also enjoyed the fact that the rain was pouring down and even began snowing this eve. The casual Friday atmosphere has even extended into this evening where I spend the night at home having dinner with my roommates one of thier girlfriends. Then sat and discussed items of note in the world today, then had a fire. It was been a wonderful and relaxing eve as well as day.

So my reasoning behind making Casual Fridays one of my favorite things is thus. Casual days allow for a glimsp into the after work lives of co-workers. Since you never see co-workers after work, to see them in Jeans is like a small picture of what they are like off the clock. Casual Fridays also signal the nearness of the weekend, and as such there is anticipation as to the relaxing and chillaxing that will occur once work is over. I also got to scoot around the warehouse with ease since people were in good moods, and also the jeans made the trip around the warehouse to be quite pleasent and enjoyable. I also enjoyed casual Fridays due to the fact that I get to stay up late and get up a little earlier tomorrow. Its grand I know. Anyways thats about it. I like Casual Fridays, and they like me.
