Birthdays

Today I staged a surprise birthday party that I planned myself and had my roommates invite friends for me. It was a splendid time of wonder and beauty. No one had any idea of what was coming, and then I emerged from beneath my bed, it was a glorious moment. But today is the annual birthday post. It has been a great day. The theme has been "fibre". One of my work friends bought me fibre this morning, and then I got bran muffins for my afternoon snack and then some friends also brought me "navy" beans, which are high in fibre. I do love the fibre, but am I really that old that it warrants me having 3 separate gifts of fibre? I think so. I am a big fan of regularity and of the bran, so fitting gifts for sure. I also acquired much Sherry, a notable Spanish drink of fermented grapes, they were powerful to say the least. I am also quite tired and am now on my way to bed, let me tell you that this has been a glorious day, and I am happy that I am a year older and a year wiser, however that may play out.
