The Jim Fish Ridge

Friends, I just moved, and by just I mean at the beginning of May.  Anyways, I now live within moments of the Jim Fish Ridge.  This ridge is on the East side of Center Street, and yes that means I live in the NE of Calgary, I wear my bullet proof vest everywhere I go.  This ridge overlooks downtown and it a stellar place to behold the might of the almighty dollar.  I'm not even joking, I can see The Bow rise from the proverbial ash that once was some other building and a parking lot.  I can also see the Calgary Tower, nearly dwarfed by the aforementioned Bow.  In the daytime downtown is a sight to behold, in the evening also a sight to behold, and in the rain a sight to behold.  I have walked there many times in the past few weeks, and it never ceases to amaze me.  There is a small path that leads down to Center Street and a very steep road that I cycle halfway up before walking the final couple hundred meters.  The sheer elevation change from the river bottom to the top of the ridge gives a stunning view all the way to Canada Olympic Park, as well as an excellent view of Prince's Island Park, home of such greats as The River Cafe.  If you visit me, I will take you there, and we can enjoy the view together.

Thanks for reading, see you soon.
